Ginkgogarten Café & Bistro in Kiedrich

Very tasty cake. ?

A cafe to our liking. We discovered it two years ago when we were still hungry for coffee and cake after a visit to Eberbach Monastery. The cake is the purest culinary poetry, from the carrot cake to the New York cheese cake, every cake a poem. And the coffee, which exudes its beguiling aromas when being ground and when hot water is poured over it, tastes like a trip to exotic countries. At the latest when eating on the small terrace, when the mild rays of the afternoon sun and a light, airy pinch pamper the guest, and cake and coffee combine to form a symphony of wonderful taste impressions, the daydreaming mind suddenly feels on the Piazza del Campo in Siena or the park Le Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris or any other picturesque place. In addition to coffee and cake, there are other smaller dishes that are prepared and served with a lot of love by the always friendly team of the café. We come from near Bonn and do not have the opportunity to be here very often. But we use every trip that takes us close to make a detour here. Do not miss this wonderful experience.

I was there a week ago and can only shake my head. Cake-to-go is advertised on the website, but it is made clear on site, completely uncompromisingly and in a dismissive manner, that it doesn't exist. The online criticism then continues in exactly the same way: unjustified, one is not a pastry shop, cakes only for on-site guests. When confronted with the completely contradicting statement of the own website it suddenly becomes clear that these were pure excuses and thus defamation of the customer. Instead of apologizing - the website is changed ;-). You have to have that much chutzpah first, respect. Summary: Maybe there are delicious things there. But it is better to have a Snickers in your pocket, because whether the ginkgo is in the mood for guests today cannot be assessed in advance.

Counter full of cakes but no take away - only for guests in the garden. Just embarrassing in Corona times. After the detailed answer from the owner and the related criticism of myself, I can only express the rating all the more clearly. The blame is put on the customer in many words, a look at the website is enough. It is most likely to be outrageous ('cake to go').

Loving atmosphere, friendly, competent service, homemade incredibly delicious dishes (cake and lunch), homely atmosphere.

Very nice range of small dishes, cakes, pies and drinks, deliciously prepared and served in a relaxed and friendly manner. And when the weather cooperates and you can sit on the terrace in the courtyard or in the garden, that's simply terrific. Absolutely relaxing.

We had to wait a long time for a table to be cleaned. The waitress was not friendly and the price / performance ratio was also suboptimal. The American cheescake was priced high at 4.20 euros for a small piece. Still to be recommended in terms of taste. The coffee cup was spilled and delivered. The ashtray with a cigarette put down ... I received this as thoroughly impolite.

We went to the ginkgo garden for breakfast. The cafe has a charming outdoor area in an inner courtyard. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The staff was very friendly and committed. Very recommendable.

Are foreigners not served? Without question a cozy place. Went there with a small group (three girls and three boys). With us - a dark-skinned Colombian woman. Despite three waitresses and only about 7 guests, we left after waiting about 25 minutes. We had been assigned this table, but no one came to take our order. Have a sad suspicion. : - / What a stale aftertaste for our otherwise very nice day in the Rheingau. Goodbye forever.

We were for the first May day for the first time here for breakfast. All in all, the ginkgo garden is recommended, we liked it and the staff was friendly. The champagne glasses were not polished, but there you are already looking for the hair in the soup.

The Ginkogarten Café is beautifully located in the heart of Kiedrich. We were there for breakfast and were rather disappointed. The croissant was not fresh, my softly ordered fried eggs were rock hard and unfortunately the coffee was not that good either. Too bad, because you could do a lot with the nice location
